I am so grateful to receive the honor of being a Young Woman of Distinction. Being a Young Woman of Distinction gives me more opportunities to increase the number of girls in STEM by acting as a mentor for girls, building a support system that encourages girls to dispel gender stereotypes and have confidence in their abilities, and continue to lead programs that expose more girls to a motivating and engaging STEM environment. I hope to empower girls to have the courage and confidence to pursue STEM and encourage them to address problems in their own community and make a difference!
